I was exiting around last October and I was visited by the thought that here I am doing all this work in my blogoshpere, and no one has made a comment (a tiny exaggeration) and no increase in traffic has been redirected to my blog. So WTF! am I spending all this work on my ancillary blog.
So I stopped updating. My updating became the same as my (going) down(flesh)dating.
But secretions.net slouched along, that dancing wu-li inter of my mind.
I added some clever design for popup quotes , popup wisdom, popupZen and (today) pop-journals. Effin' fine!
Check it out!

whoa! is this good?
now he is writing poetry.
When one man called his poem "cynical",
a friend replied that "no, they were beyond cynical."

unexaminations
- The unexamined life is living.
- The unexamined question is not worth answering.
- The unexamined life may not be worth living, but that sure doesn't stop us from trying.
- The examined life is difficult to live — it's been examined to death.

descartesian riffs
- I don't think and therefore I am the way I am.
- I think I think so I don't have to think.
(I think therefore I think not.) - I think therefore it is.
- I think therefore I am.
You respond and therefore you are.

why does he not give up?
He has started a second iteration of his latest philosophy book, now called adumbrations.
I am not sure he will ever complete this latest attempt,
but it gives him something to think about on his way to work.
(Recently he thought that his actual philosophy book will be the work he writes after this one.)
You go guy!

well he is persistent...
Every day for 2283 days, the author of secretions.net has spent one to four hours working on his stupid blog.
He may be obsessed, stubborn, lacking in self-assessment, unable to take the hint, but he sure has spent a lot of time working on this fu#ker, hasn't he?
Let's give him a big hand.

11 cynicism (about the government)
- There is no source to counterbalance our ever-encroaching laws, except the stasis of religious taboos.
- Among the many things we don't vote on in life are all the unanticipated consequences of our policies.
- The government keeps us in tape
- Government security is first of all security for self.
- How do you build a rational and healthy society out of assholes?
- Is it now part of the governments job to lie to us, to keep our morale up?
- Freedom is not free.
It requires large donations to a variety of politicians. - Government did not originate for our best interests.
- Government does not base its decisions on best practices, though it should.
- The socialist guilt until not being happy until everything is happy is reflected by the government in a perverse way, we're not going to let everyone be happy because some people can't handle it.
- Shouldn't politicians and CEOs be tested to be sure they are not psychopaths?
Power politics aside, can psychologist do that?
Or does the apparent success of politicians and business leaders in their field trump their psychological limitations?

15 aphorisms about today
- I want a dog that picks up my shit.
- Most of us don't really work. Cutting and stacking a cord of wood is work. What we do is more like detention: fill out this paperwork 100 times.
- Simplicity is a drug, much like ecstasy.
- "Hi honey! I'm here at the symphony. It's a great performance. There sure are lot of people here. How's your mom doing?"
- Cell-phones are the new cigarettes.
- You think you overthink things?
Don't flatter yourself. - Human beings are weapons of mass destruction.
- In the passion of the immigration debate let us not forget: the black slaves came into the country legally.
- Sex is the subtext of life.
It is what we sub-see on television. - Sure I can be normal, unless you make normal just too fucking stupid!
- We want to be high on life without using drugs.
How can we do that if we don't have drugs to show us what we are aiming for? - The ultimate sport team mascot names: the Men, and of course, the Lady Men.
- I live locally but I listen globally.
- Drugs and diet are chemical prayers.
- Today used to be so tomorrow.
